About Mediation

Mediation is a process available to separated couples hoping to achieve a mutually satisfying solution by participating in a settlement process guided by a trained mediator. Mediation is a simple, inexpensive form of alternate dispute resolution.

The object of mediation is to assist separated couples focus on a mutual problem, talk about it, discuss possible solutions and agree upon a solution.

Various courts refer people involved in litigation to mediation (especially in family law matters). Mediation is not only for court cases. You may also engage a mediator as an alternative to going to court in the first place.
